Sausage Pinwheels



  • 1-lb Pork Sausage
  • 1/4 cup Diced Onion
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 3/4 cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/2 cup almond flour or crispy breading recipe
  • 1 Egg

Brown sausage and onion on stovetop in a medium skillet. Add 1/2 tsp salt and garlic powder. Once cooked through, Drain grease then add 4 oz cream cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Set aside and make dough. In a small mixing bowl add mozzarella and cream cheese and melt for 1-2 minutes and stir until combined. Add crispy breading and egg and combine. Turn out onto sprayed parchment paper and top with another piece of non-stick sprayed parchment press out into a 1/4″ square. Remove top parchment, Top with sausage mixture and spread out then use parchment to assist you in rolling into a roll. Wrap in parchment and freeze for one hour in the freezer. After one hour, preheat oven to 375 degrees. Slice the roll into 12 slices and lay the slices on parchment paper, you may brush tops and sides with egg wash. Place in oven for 24 minutes. Bake until sides are golden brown.
